What is a Live Chat?

Web Chat

The Retreat staff is now available by chat to offer information and support to those who have been impacted by abuse and sexual assault.

Before beginning a chat, be sure that the computer, tablet, or phone that you are using is not being tracked or monitored. If you believe this may be happening, it is safer for you to call our hotline number 631-329-2200 which is open 24 hours a day.

Our chat is only available during limited times. If no one is currently available and it is safe for you to do so, call our 24-hour hotline number 631-329-2200 to speak to someone immediately.

What is Chat?

When you click on Live Chat, you will begin a one-on-one chat session with a Retreat staff member trained in supporting those who have experienced domestic abuse or sexual assault. They can help you explore your options, provide information and referrals, and connect you to other Retreat programs.

Safety

If you need to exit the chat quickly, click the Quick Escape button at the top right of the chat page. You will be brought to the Google search page.

If you do not continue your chat, after 5 minutes you will be logged out of Chat and your page will be redirected to Google. You can re-join chat at any time.

At the end of each chat session, please remember to clear your cache so that anyone who might gain access to your device is unable to view your interactions with The Retreat.
