Join The Retreat’s Teen Leadership Council!
The Retreat's Teen Leadership Council is a free youth-led program that builds skills for healthy relationships, stronger boundaries, and positive leadership. Students learn to spot red and green flags in friendships and dating and explore how digital communication, artificial intelligence, and other technologies influence connection. Through interactive activities, students practice healthy communication, learn safe strategies to protect themselves and their peers from harm and build supportive relationships that strengthen emotional well-being and mental health. AI for Peace: Centering Survivor Voices
The Retreat is thrilled to once again participate in Microsoft's Conference on "Centering Human Dignity in the Age of AI" on September 23rd at Microsoft in New York City.
Executive Director Cate Carbonaro will participate in a side conference on "AI for Peace: Centering Survivor Voices" at 11AM. Bringing together human rights advocates, practitioners and civil society leaders, the panel will consider how survivor-centred artificial intelligence can help bridge the distance between lived experience and decision-making, ensuring that those most affected by violence and conflict are not simply subjects of international action, but active participants in shaping justice, reconciliation and sustainable peace.
