 |  The Retreat HotlineThe Retreat Hotline is the important critical first step to introducing the Retreat’s many services for most of our clients. Our highly trained staff answer the hotline to help our clients 24/7.
- Provides supportive listening and crisis intervention to victims of domestic violence while affording anonymity and confidentiality.
- Collaborates with the shelter to ensure that those victims seeking shelter are properly informed of our services and accommodated, whenever possible.
- Offers resources and referrals both within the Retreat as well as to outside agencies so that those living with domestic violence can receive comprehensive care.
- Offering information to concerned family members and friends regarding our services so that a victim can be encouraged to seek help.
- Police Report Program: The Retreat receives a copy of all domestic violence police reports from Eastern Long Island Departments and follows up with a letter informing the victim of our services.
