The Retreat is a safe haven for families in crisis. We provide numerous services to protect victims, provide safety and help them get back on their feet and live productive lives.
2010 statistics
- The Shelter served 83 women and 61 children. Total shelter clients served was 144.
- Served 337 clients (including children) through our counseling services.
- Provided 2,784 units of service.
- The Advocacy program served 449 clients.
- Provided 5,141 legal advocacy services.
- Provided support, information, and referrals to 2,355 hotline calls.
- Provided community education to 1,438 individuals and provided a total of 130 school presentations.
- Assessed and educated 43 batterers mandated by the courts to take resbonsibility for their abusive behavior.
- 80 generous volunteers donated their time and engergy to our cause.
