The Retreat’s 2nd Annual Juried Art Show Winners
For Immediate Release — March 31, 2010 — EAST HAMPTON, NY — The Retreat, the only non-profit domestic violence agency serving the East End of Long Island is pleased to announce the top 25 artists that will be featured in a group show opening on May 1, 2010 and running through May 13, 2010.
From the bottom of our hearts we thank the Jurors for their time, effort and dedication to the fight against domestic violence.
- Max Fishko — Gallery Director for ArtHamptons and the San Francisco Fine Art Fair
- Christina Strassfield — Museum Director / Chief Curator of Guild Hall
The two jurors had their work cut out for them in picking the top 25 entries, with over 280 entries to look through. The jurors truly enjoyed seeing all of the work that was entered into the competition. This event turned out to be great success for the Retreat with 100% of the entry fees directly supporting the agency.
The top 25 entries, as selected by the above jurors, will be shown in a group show opening on May 1, 2010 at the Richard J. Demato Gallery in Sag Harbor. The “Best In Show” of the group show will receive a Solo Exhibition at the Richard J. Demato Gallery at a date to be determined.
The 25 artists that were selected are from all over — as far as San Paulo, Brazil to as close as Sag Harbor. Congratulations to these 25 artists:
